Solar Battery Installation in Champaign, IL
Duracell, Enphase, SolarEdge, and Tesla batteries, with new solar or added to the system already on your roof.
Solar Battery Installation in Champaign, Illinois
Duracell, Enphase, SolarEdge, and Tesla home batteries, installed with new solar or added on their own to the solar system you already have. We serve Champaign and surrounding Champaign County communities with design, permitting, utility paperwork, and installation handled by one team.
Under Illinois' supply-only net metering, energy you use yourself is typically worth more than energy you send back to the grid. A battery stores your midday solar so you can use it in the evening — and keeps critical circuits running when storms knock out power.
Batteries We Install
We install four home battery brands. We recommend one based on the inverter you have or plan to use, what you want backed up, and where the battery will go.
- Tesla Powerwall
- Enphase IQ Battery
- SolarEdge Home Battery
- Duracell Power Center
Standalone Battery Installs for Existing Solar
Already have solar? We add batteries to existing systems, including systems installed by another company. We look at your inverter, electrical panel, and utility agreement, then recommend the battery that pairs cleanly with what is already on your roof.
A standalone battery install doesn't require new panels. We handle the design, permit, utility paperwork, installation, and app setup.
- Works with most existing solar systems, including other installers' systems
- No new panels required
- Essential-loads or whole-home backup designs
- Indoor or outdoor (garage, basement, exterior wall) placement

How long will a battery power my home during an outage?
It depends on battery capacity and what you run. A typical home battery can keep essentials — refrigerator, sump pump, lights, internet, furnace blower — running overnight, and recharges from your solar the next day.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
Yes. We do standalone battery installs on existing solar systems, including systems another company installed. We review your inverter and electrical panel, then recommend the Duracell, Enphase, SolarEdge, or Tesla battery that pairs best with your setup.
Which battery brands do you install?
We install Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ Battery, SolarEdge Home Battery, and Duracell Power Center. The right choice depends on your existing or planned inverter, your backup goals, and your space.
